Summer Music Fun Camp

Are you looking for a fun, creative, and air-conditioned activity for your kids this summer? Summer in St. George is approaching, and if you are already hearing, “I’m bored!” St. George Piano Academy is thrilled to announce our brand new, high-energy Summer Music Fun Camp!

This June, we are opening up our studio for three days of musical discovery, perfect for kids ages 5-10. This is a hands-on experience designed to spark a love of music that will last long after the summer ends.

Why Music Camp in St. George, Utah?

As a mother of six and a seasoned piano teacher, I know that summer schedules can get packed with swimming and sports. However, kids also need structured time to explore their creative side.

Our Summer Music Fun Camp isn’t a standard lesson. We have created a dynamic small-group environment where your child can socialize, create, and experience the “rotation” style of learning that makes our academy unique.

The best part? No previous musical experience is required!

What Your Child Will Experience:

Our three-day workshop (June 30 – July 2, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM) is jam-packed with engaging activities:

  • Basic Music Theory: We break down the absolute essentials in a way that feels like a game, not homework. Your child will begin to understand how music actually works.
  • Learn Songs to Sing: Is there anything more joyful than a group of kids singing together? We will learn a few simple, catchy songs to build confidence and teamwork.
  • Discover & Create: This segment is about exploring different sounds and rhythm instruments. We include music-themed art crafts that your child will get to take home.
  • A Popsicle Party! We will celebrate our musical progress on the final day with a cool treat—because it is summer in St. George, after all!

Why is Music Education so Important?

Learning music offers children a powerful foundation for lifelong success. First, it strengthens the brain by building new neural pathways through focused practice. Furthermore, students develop incredible discipline as they master challenging pieces of music. In addition to mental growth, playing in a group setting teaches vital social skills and teamwork. Because of this, children gain a deep sense of confidence that carries over into their schoolwork and hobbies. Consequently, music is not just a skill; it is a tool for building character. Ultimately, every note played helps a child discover their own unique creative voice.
